The English program at MySchool shall be using OXFORD DISCOVER curriculum.
This is based on the belief that language and literary skills are best taught within a framework of critical thinking and global awareness.
- Oxford Discover addresses the evolving needs of young learners of English in the 21st century.
- Oxford Discover offers differentiated classroom activities, practice tests, workbook exercises, an entire Learning Management System, interactive activities along with the student textbooks.
- It creates a positive and motivating learning environment.
- iTools, digital classroom resources, built-in videos, and practice websites all provide support and materials for: parents, teachers, as well as the student!
- Finally, this new curriculum offers plentiful opportunities for students to become effective listeners and speakers.
The Mathematics program at MySchool shall be using OXFORD DISCOVER curriculum.
Math’s Makes Sense is a consistent, whole-school approach to teaching math’s, with high expectations for all, perfectly in line with the aims of the new Primary National Curriculum.
- Deep conceptual understanding through a learning system of concrete objects, actions and vocabulary which develops fluency, reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- Transform children’s understanding and enjoyment, encouraging all children to excel and become excited about math’s.
- The Oxford curriculum allows students to move easily into all the educational systems and is used by international schools around the world. The curriculum is delivered through the medium of English – leading to the worldwide recognized qualifications of IGCSE and AS/A2 (A levels).
- The Oxford curriculum uses a wide selection of educational books and materials from the United Kingdom to meet the needs of children of varying abilities and from different cultures.
The Science program at MySchool shall be using CAMBRIDGE curriculum.
In order to further motivate our students and develop their scientific techniques, the school has a well-equipped and dedicated science lab. We encourage our students to learn through experimentation as much as possible: the lab provides the students with an opportunity to observe the world around them from a scientific point of view, explore the scientific theories that they have studied in class and experiment within these areas of knowledge to develop their own understanding of the world.
Along with this, we also encourage students to continue their investigations and researches out of the school using the good practice they have learnt about in it.
Primary science curriculum overview

Science in My School is based on the Cambridge Curriculum. It consists of following strands:
- Scientific enquiry and investigation
- Life Processes and Living Things
- Materials and their Properties
- Physical Processes.
The aims of Primary science are to:
- develop knowledge and understanding of scientific ideas, concepts, processes and skills.
- promote an understanding of humankind along with all living things on the planet.
- learn about different ways of thinking and communicating ideas.
Learning approaches:
The following learning approaches are used:
- Enquiry based learning, active learning, practical learning, independent and collaborative learning
- Age-suitable learning activities.
- Educational games and video clips.
Le Français a Mon école
Mon école veut toujours améliorer le niveau de ses élèves c’est pour cela les responsables ont choisi le français , comme troisième langue. A Mon école les élèves commencent a apprendre les principes de la langue a travers les chansons, les dessins animes, les poèmes et le coloriage .
Les élèves de Mon école présentent la diffusion scolaire qui comprend les maximes, les proverbes et les informations en langue française ce qui développe leur niveau d’apprentissage. Les élèves se préparent a présenter une scène et des chansons en français pour la fête du fin d’année. Professeurs et administration, nous souhaitons que nos élèves soient les meilleures a Oman.
Information Communication & Technology
MySchool is the first private School in Oman providing an iMac computer lab welcoming all students from KG to Grade 7. My School Computer Lab features iMac computers with Wi-Fi network access to allow students to explore the high speed Internet.
The aim of the Information Communication Technology Department at MySchool is to produce learners who are confident and effective professional users of ICT. We do not only cater for our students’ educational needs but also for their future needs as young individuals of today facing tomorrow. Our curriculum provides a project-based approach to learning that aims at introducing the essential and modern fields of computer science to students, hoping that at the end of our academic programs, students will acquire a scientific way of thinking and will achieve creative evolution that prepares them for the technological world ahead.
We intend to achieve our aim by:
- Teaching ICT skills that would be required for students to use in other learning areas.
- Ensuring that ICT is incorporated into all subjects on the curriculum.
- Helping all students to use ICT with purpose and enjoyment.
- Helping all students to develop the necessary skills to make use of ICT.
- Helping students in need of learning support to develop their skills.
